Final briefing for Sun and Fun, old FBO, 10:00 am.

Fly out to Sun and Fun, Lakeland, FL.  Some of us may choose to travel in a group, others may fly alone.  Some may even choose to drive to Florida.  Plans will formulate as we get closer to departure time.

 

 

May 7 (Sat)

Airport Appreciation Day.  Lots of volunteers needed, including pilots with aircraft to provide rides to the public (stringent requirements apply, speak with Pete Beswick to determine your eligibility).  This is our major event of the year, so make sure to mark your calendar, and be sure to participate.

 May 21 (Sat)

 Organizational Meeting for EAA Chapter 1523

June 5 (Sun)

Fly out to the South Carolina Breakfast Club meeting at Bishopville, SC (52J).  We will leave beginning at 7:00 am.  Trip is 179 nm, and breakfast begins at around 9:00 am.  If you've never been to a SCBC meeting, this is the time!  It's lots of fun, and a great excuse to fly.

Tentative fly out to a location not yet confirmed.  We have discussed Williamsburg, Asheboro, or perhaps Ocracoke for a long lunch at Howard's Pub.  We'll try to firm this up at our meeting on March 19.

 

 

July 16 (Sat)

Summer bash at Dead Cow airstrip, a mile north of KMRH off Hwy. 101.  Craig Cannon will host a great cookout for the entire family.  Make plans to be there for an afternoon of fun, fun, fun!

Final briefing for AirVenture, old FBO, 10:00 am

AirVenture 2001 in Oshkosh, WI.  Many of us will be going, Including Jeff Deaton in his best-of-show winning Bonanza 35.  Some will be traveling together, others will go it alone, but everyone will have a great time.  Be sure to attend the final briefing, and join us on the annual aviation pilgrimage to AirVenture Oshkosh.

 

 

Oct 15 (Sat)

Annual Fish Fry & Oyster Roast fly in.  In addition, we will be inviting all of the military air traffic controllers from MCAS Cherry Point to join us for food, fellowship, and the opportunity to fly with us to see how general aviation works. 

Dec 10 (Sat)

Tentative

Annual Christmas party.  Join us for an evening of food and fellowship.
